About Me
I have a passion for language and 15+ years experience doing what I love. My background as an award-winning English teacher, speech pathologist, and auditory-verbal therapist blends a unique collection of expertise to help people communicate.

My philosophy in working with kids is that they do well when they feel safe, liked, and that expectations respect their unique intelligence and capabilities. I challenge my students to resist short-term impulses for longer-term rewards, a vital component of learning, and their speech benefits from this improvement in their ability to 'stop and think'.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, spent eight years on each American coast, and stints in Korea, Costa Rica, Namibia and Austria. Although I cannot boast fluency in another language, I have studied several for the love of language, travel and work: Korean, German, Spanish, French, Arabic and ASL.
I live in Salt Lake City, UT with my husband, two kids, and our yellow lab puppy.
I’m excited to work with you!
